John Law

I am very proud to represent world class pianist John Law and his Congregation.  I first saw him at the QEH during the London Jazz Festival 2012. My impressions are here. What always strikes me about John’s work is that a) it never disappoints, he’s always pushing the boundaries so you hear and absorb something new,  b) he brings out the very best in his band members whether young  and enthusiastic or worldly-wise and c) he composes wonderful tunes so it’s an enjoyable experience.

So I was very pleased when John asked me to work with him to promote his Congregation double album release tour in 2016.  That was a massive tour of over 20 dates and was supported by Arts Council England.  His Congregation features one of my favourite saxophonists – James Mainwaring – so it’s going to be an exciting journey!

In 2018 I was involved with John’s tour of India, liasing with contacts in India and was privileged to see him perform at a workshop, a house concert, clubs gigs and an open air festival gig – all in the amazing city of Delhi.  John recorded a new album with Congregation in 2018.

That album is called CONFIGURATION and was released on Ubuntu Music in 2020, accompanied by a major tour including the album launch at King’s Place, London.

In 2023 John released a new album Many Moons with Re-Creations, his quartet which plays his arrangements of other people’s tunes. This quartet comprises Sam Crockatt on saxophones, Henrik Jensen on bass and Alex Goodyear on drums, and is touring in 2023-24.
