Artists I work with

I work with a number of wonderful musicians and you can read about them on the subheadings.

I came into jazz promotion after nearly twenty years in information technology as senior project manager and Head of IT at a large charity.  Before that I was a teacher in the UK and in Morocco, and I also ran a Youth Training Scheme. I’d loved jazz since I was a child, listening to it with my Mother, then going to concerts at The Cider Press in Dartington as a teenager – then I got sidetracked by ballet and opera  – but eventually found my way back to jazz via Bill Evans and Brad Mehldau. I bring skills from my former working life into my jazz work – so project management and risk assessment are an essential aspect of everything I tackle – but mostly I just try to bring love of music to each job!

You can read about my previous roles in LinkedIn.

In the past I have worked with Rotem Sivan, Ivo Neame, Geoff Eales, Roller Trio, Andrew McCormack and promoted a jazz for children project called Molly and the Owl.  I’ve helped with successful  ACE applications for several people including Jasper Høiby, Mark Pringle, Nicolas Meier and others. I worked with guitarist Maciek Pysz for four years, helped him with four successful ACE supported tours and was his manager for some of that time, one of the best jobs I have ever had.

I worked with UK  Serbian pianist Maja Alvanovic  and arranged and promoted her London debut at Pizza Express London on 30 August 2015.
